在此，我谨代表加中友协全体同仁向您及中国白求恩精神研究会的朋友们表示我们万分的感谢，感谢您们的全力支持和鼓励。

中国人民在新冠病毒肺炎（COVID-19）爆发期间给予加拿大人民的关爱和全力支持使我们深受感动，我们深表谢意。

到目前为止，加拿大全国范围内已确诊98410例，死亡8100多例。我国各级卫生部门及相关组织和人员全力以赴，协同作战，阻止疫情的扩展，使其得到了初步的控制。我很高兴的向您通报，目前加拿大多个省份在保证必要的防疫措施到位的情况下，已逐渐重启开放。

毫无疑问，COVID-19是全人类面临的史无前例的挑战。但是，危难之中互相合作和互相帮助总是能给人以慰籍。

您们真诚的关心和热情的鼓励展示了加中两国之间跨越国界的友谊。

为此，我代表加中友协再次向你表示我们的衷心感谢。

祝愿您及所有中国的朋友们身体健康，家人幸福安康！期待着疫情在全世界范围被消灭后，我们能再次得逢，继续加强我们两国人民之间的交流和友谊。

Re: Thank You for Helping Canada Combat COVID-19

Dear Respected President Yuan Yonglin,

Greetings to you and to all the friends  of  the  China Bethune Spirit Research Association!  On 

behalf of the  Canada-China Friendship Society  (CCFS), I am writing to express our gratitude to 

you  personally  and,  through  you,  to  all  the  friends  of  the  China  Bethune  Spirit  Research 

Association,  for your  full  support and  encouragement.    Thank you so much for your precious 

letter of support  and encouragement dated  April 30, 2020.   We are deeply moved and greatly 

appreciate  the  love, concern  and  full  support  of the Chinese people  to the  Canadians during the 

COVID-19 outbreak.

To-date, there are in total 98,410 confirmed cases nationwide with over 8,100 deaths. Our public 

health authorities at all levels have been working together to respond to the outbreak as efficiently 

as  possible.    Likewise,  Canadian  individuals  and  organizations  are  cooperating  as  much  as 

possible to help control the  spread.    We are happy to share that the various provinces are gradually 

re-opening from the previous lockdown while taking necessary precautions.

The COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly presents an unprecedented challenge. However, we are 

comforted  to  see  cooperation  and  mutual  help  at  a  time  of  crisis.  Your  genuine  care  and 

encouragement truly showcase the Canadian-Chinese friendship that transcends borders. 

Again, we sincerely thank you for your full  support!  On behalf of the CCFS, I wish all of you 

health,  happiness  and  the  very  best!  We  look  forward  to  meeting  you  again  when  the  world 

completely  triumphs  over  the  pandemic  so  that  together,  we  could  continue  to  strengthen  the 

people-to-people ties and exchanges, and to deepen the friendship between the people of our two 

great nations.
